A night hike that raised more than £14,500 for charities is set to return next month.

The event, organised by Enfield Borough Council, will collect cash for Nightingale Cancer Support Centre, in Lancaster Road, Enfield, and Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice.

The 15km walk will take place on Friday, May 22, and the local authority is calling on people taking part to add a bit of glitz and glamour and put on their glad rags, flashing head boppers and neon bands.

Enfield Council’s deputy leader, Councillor Achilleas Georgiou, said: "The Enfield Night Hike is a really popular annual event and is enormous fun to take part in.

"I’d urge people to get dressed up and boogie on down round the route and help us raise lots of money for two fantastic causes."

More than 450 people took part in last year’s hike. To take part, click here.
