A woman is planning to demonstration after her pop-up inside a supermarket was closed down.

Rosa Zarriabi, 27, opened her pop-up beauty store Browz inside the Tesco extra, in Ponders End more than 18 months ago.

However, the entrepreneur claims that her shop had been closed down with just one week’s notice by Tesco and has left her without a job.

Ms Zarriabi said: “It is disgraceful what has happened, my store was incredibly popular with people who shopped at the Tesco and I have had several calls from people asking where has my shop gone?

“I was given no more than a week’s notice which is unacceptable. Other Tesco’s in London are not closing down their pop-up stores, but I am now suffering as a result.”

Now struggling to find business, Ms Zarriabi is hoping a demonstration with regular customers will help to try and persuade Tesco to allow her to continue trading.

She said: “I have loved my time there and I paid my rents on time every month. Things were really picking up before this happened, it is going to be tough to support myself and family.

“I hope I can generate some support with a protest, it is my only hope.”

The supermarket chain has denied only giving Ms Zarriabi one week’s notice and instead, gave her four weeks.

A spokeswoman said: “Having reviewed the services we provide to customers in this particular store, the team made the decision not to continue to offer space to an eyebrow threading stall. We’re grateful to Mrs Zarriabi for the service she gave to our customers.”
