A 20-man punch-up outside a pub resulted in six arrests.

The brawl outside the George pub, in Church Street, Enfield Town at 10.30pm on Saturday, February 7 was captured on CCTV.

Footage was obtained of a man pushing a police officer and another man was later arrested after footage of him kicking another man to the head several times was retrieved.

Cllr Chris Bond, cabinet member for environment and community safety, said: “We will not tolerate this type of behaviour in our town centres and we will always work closely with police to bring this sort of senseless idiocy to a rapid conclusion.

“Both the police and our CCTV operators deserve praise for the way in which they managed to tackle this incident and I’m delighted we were able to deal with it before it escalated further or someone was seriously hurt.”
