Enfield Borough Council has been shortlisted for three awards.
The authority is in the running in the Local Government Chronicle (LGC) in the categories for entrepreneurial council of the year, and for housing and community involvement.
Councillor Achilleas Georgiou, deputy leader, said “We are proud to have been shortlisted for three awards from the LGC.
"All of these shortlisted projects are showcasing the unique solutions that Enfield Council is using to tackle growing issues that confront us every day, such as the shortage of affordable housing, the lack of real jobs for local people and the encouragement of empowerment to local residents.
“Here at Enfield we think outside the box, and hope that the LGC recognises this innovative thinking and the solutions and benefits it brings to everyone in our borough.”
Results will be announced at the LGC awards ceremony on Wednesday, March 11.
