A study group for the elderly has celebrated its 20th anniversary.

Enfield’s University of the Third Age, a group for retired people who want to study in small groups as well as joining in social activities, celebrated two decades, combined with its Christmas party.

The first of its kind in the area, Deputy Mayor Councillor Patricia Ekechi joined the group in its celebrations, cutting the groups anniversary cake and presenting prizes to winners of the quiz.

The group currently has around 400 members at present and covers an area stretching from Palmers Green to the boundary of Potters Bar.
