Police have tonight charged a 13-year-old boy with the murder of Christopher John Barry.
Mr Barry, 53, was stabbed to death on Sunday evening following a verbal altercation with a gang of males as he tried to enter the block of flats where he lived in The Broadway, Edmonton.
Five boys aged 13 and 14 were subsequently arrested on suspicion of murder, and one 13-year-old has now been charged.
The boy has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Highbury Corner Youth Court tomorrow.
The four other boys - three aged 14 and one aged 13 - have been bailed to return to an east London police station in late January.
