A super slimmer is now inspiring others to do the same after her weight loss.

Georgia Sailing, 43, of Willow Road, in Enfield, lost two-and-a-half stone in nine months after joining her local slimming world club.

The Enfield woman admitted that she felt nervous joining a slimming club having been overweight since her 20s.

She said: ”I have been overweight since my early 20’s and my weight has yo-yo’ed up and down for nearly 25 years.

It couldn’t have been more different than I expected. I was welcomed with smiling faces, people greeted me with friendliness and encouragement, and the consultant was waiting for me at the door making me feel really welcome. I couldn’t have been more surprised as to how much I could actually eat on the plan.”

Having adapted traditional Greek dishes Ms Sailing revealed that the experience has changed her life.

She said: “Tuesdays have become our favourite day of the week, we go to group in the morning and then enjoy a lovely adapted Greek lunch.

“What we both enjoy about group is the sharing of recipes and tips between members, we have made some great likeminded friends who don’t judge us and we love the support we get from them.”

“This experience has changed my life, I have realised that with Slimming World I can lose weight, cooking family meals (not separate ones for myself) and still enjoy a full social life eating out without feeling that I can’t join in with all the family get-togethers and nights out with my friends.”

The mother is now setting her sights on a new career path and is launching her own slimming World Group at Old Grammarians Rugby Club, in Green Dragon Lane, on Thursday November 6.
