A used car salesman has been fined more than £700 after trading from a residential address without a licence.
Hasan Tasoglu, of Ash Grove, Palmers Green, was prosecuted by Enfield Borough Council following complaints from neighbours about cars being on sale in Albany Park Avenue.
Council officers visited the road in July and found three cars for sale. They left warnings of each of them informing the owner they were committing an offence and the vehicles could be seized.
The officers returned the next day and found the cars had been removed, but found a blue Vauxhall on sale on the corner of Hertford Road and Albany Park Avenue.
Officers removed the car and found Tasoglu held insurance for the vehicle.
In an interview under caution Tasoglu admitted he did not have a licence to trade in the street.
At Tottenham Magistrates’ Court he was ordered to pay £100 fine, £600 costs and a £20 victim surcharge.
