A man died after he was hit by a supermarket van in Ponders End.
Kanohan Miah was hit by the Ocado delivery van as he crossed High Street, Ponders End outside Barclays bank on Tuesday October 7.
London Ambulance Services arrived on the scene at 4.20pm and reported to a man with head injuries, taking him Royal London hospital as a priority.
However, Mr Miah died at the hospital as a result of the injury.
Abdul Qader, who worked at the bank with Mr Miah, witnessed the incident and said: “One of our community doctors, Dr Khalid, was on the scene before the paramedics and tried to stabilise the situation.
“Mr Miah was a good man and he served the mosque in Ponders End for a long time.”
The bank worker also called for people to be more aware when crossing High Street to avoid a similar incident.
