Man charged with arson after flat fire
A man has been charged with arson after a flat fire.
Timur Demur, 25, of Cameron Close, in Edmonton, was charged with arson with intent to endanger life at Highbury Corner Magistates Court.
Three adults and a child escaped the fire at a block of the flats in Brettenham Road, in Upper Edmonton on Sunday, September 7.
Half of the ground floor was destroyed by the fire.
A total of 21 firefighters from Tottenham and Edmonton made fought the blaze.
Mr Demur was remanded in custody on Wednesday, September 10, and will appear at Wood Green Crown Court on Wednesday, September 24.
Police are continuing to appeal for information.
