The winner of Edmonton’s junior apprentice has fallen just short of the capital crown for a second successive year.

Samuel Ogundana, 16, of Wyfield Gardens, has been crowned the winner of the young apprentice heat hosted at Edmonton Green Baptist Church, in Monmouth Road.

The 16-year-old, helped by fellow contestants from the church, created a fashion brand for the grand finale in which he competed against other church winners of the competition.

Hosted in central London, Mr Ogundana and his team faced stiff competition at the ‘Inner City Kid’ fashion competition as well as a gruelling interview from a panel of judges.

But ultimately the prize eluded the church for the second year running as the judges chose the young apprentice finalist from Tufnell Park as winner.
