Olympic volunteers will find themselves in the spotlight once more during two thank you receptions held by Enfield Borough Council.
Team London ambassadors, games makers and volunteers who lent a hand during London 2012 will be invited to the special events in Enfield Civic Centre in Silver Street on December 11 and December 12.
Councillor Bambos Charalambous, cabinet member for culture and leisure, said: “If not for the tireless work of many local people during the Olympics, people such as the torchbearers, and the countless other volunteers who took part, we would not have had such a splendid Olympic legacy.
“These events play host to our fabulous volunteers whom we wish to thank for their dedication.”
The Mayor of Enfield, Councillor Kate Anolue, will present awards to volunteers who helped out during the Olympic and Paralympic games.
