Male body discovered in burnt-out car wreckage in north Enfield

A body has been discovered in the wreckage of a burnt-out car in north Enfield.

Ten firefighters were called to reports of a car on fire in Hadley Road at 11.10am today.

They spent almost 50 minutes tackling the fire and found the body of a man inside the vehicle.

At this stage, it is unclear whether the man was dead before the fire started or died during the blaze.

His age has not yet been confirmed.

Police are investigating the cause of the fire and enquiries are continuing.
