5:40pm Tuesday 30th October 2012 in News By Hermione Wright
The search is on to find the winner of a missing £70,428 Lotto ticket.
The mystery ticket was bought in Enfield more than three weeks ago in time for the draw on Wednesday, October 10.
If the winner fails to come forward before April 8, 2013, the money and the interest earned on the cash will be given to the lottery’s Good Causes fund – which is donated to projects throughout the UK.
The winning numbers were 15, 19, 23, 29, 30, 46, and the bonus ball was two. The winner matched five out of six numbers as well as the bonus ball.
A statement from the National Lottery said: “We’re desperate to find this mystery ticket holder and unite them with their winnings – this amazing prize could really make a huge difference to somebody’s life.
“We’re urging everyone to check their old tickets again or look anywhere a missing ticket could be hiding.
“Try checking in the pockets of clothing, in wallets, bags and down the back of the sofa – someone out there could literally be sitting on a fortune.
“We have the champagne on ice and our fingers crossed that the lucky winner comes forward to claim their win.”
The National Lottery cannot divulge where the ticket was bought in case the winner would like to remain anonymous.
They will announce whether or not the money has been claimed in time for the cut-off point.
