Final phase of new wheelie bin delivery to begin next week

The final phase of the council’s waste policy will start next month with the delivery of thousands of new wheelie bins.

The new bins are part of Enfield Borough Council’s waste policy which started being implemented three years ago.

The wheelie bins will mark the final phase of the policy which the council hopes will increase the borough’s recycling rates to 45 per cent.

People will start to receive their new bins from October 29 and new collections will begin from November 12.

It is hoped by the completion of the process the council will save more than £1million a year by diverting waste away from landfill.
