Singers are clearing their throats, dancers are perfecting their moves and comedians are polishing their best one-liners in preparation for this summer’s biggest talent search – Edmonton’s Got Talent.

The month-long competition, which starts on Saturday, July 27, is a chance for north London’s hidden talent to shine and have a turn on Edmonton Green’s performance stage.

The competition is open to all ages and talents, from acrobats and clowns through to impressionists, magicians and comedians.

Each Saturday, a panel of expert judges including Britain’s Got Talent star Louise Bagan from Band of Voices and Edmonton Green’s centre manager Roger Allen will select a winner to receive an amazing cash prize of £250, donated by Edmonton Green retailers London Vintage and Deli Twist.

As well as being in a with a chance of winning a cash prize, acts will have their performances filmed for the Edmonton Green YouTube channel, giving the stars of tomorrow the perfect platform to promote themselves.

Mr Allen said “We want to hear from anyone who has an undiscovered talent worthy of being on the big stage.

“Over the past few years we have been approached by a number of acts that fall outside of the singing category, and Edmonton’s Got Talent is the opportunity they have been waiting for to get out there and showcase their talent. 

“We are looking for variety and above all we are looking to be entertained. The judges’ buzzers are at the ready.”

In addition to the main competition, Edmonton Green will also be host open-stage nights every Thursday from August 1-15, starting from 4pm in the North Square.
