Friends of stab victim Teon Palmer pay tribute to 'coolest guy'
Friends of a man murdered on Saturday have paid tribute to the “coolest guy.”
Teon Palmer, 28, was stabbed to death in Montagu Road at the junction with Goodwin Road in Lower Edmonton at approximately 11.10pm.
Mr Palmer, known as Teon Trapper Palmer on Facebook, was pronounced dead at the scene after suffering a single stab wound.
A family friend, who grew up in Edmonton with Mr Palmer but wished to remain anonymous, said the victim was working as well as studying as a part-time university student.
Although he admitted Mr Palmer from Lower Edmonton had been involved in trouble as a youth, he said he was now on the straight and narrow.
The "heartbroken" friend, said: “He was involved in rubbish when he was younger but he grew up and was doing his own thing.
"He went to university and had put all that behind him and doing other things to be happy.
“I don’t understand why he would be doing things that he used to do. He went to university and was doing positive things that is what I know for sure.
“I know what everyone else knows, I am still trying to find out the full story. I am grieving myself and I don’t know what to be saying.”
He said his parents were close to Mr Palmer’s parents, although he is yet to call them as he knows they will be grieving.
All four tyres of Mr Palmer’s blue Vauxhall Astra were slashed just moments before his death. A gang of up to seven black men wearing hooded tops or jackets were seen running from the spot.
Police believe the vandals knew the car belonged to Mr Palmer.
Floral tributes have been left at the murder scene, with his older sister Makesha writing: "Can't believe this, missing your smile already. You're now in heaven as an angel watching over us. RIP Little T."
and friends are posting messages about Mr Palmer on social networking site Twitter.
One user posted: “RIP Teon. So shocked. Was the coolest guy ever and always had that smile on his face...”
Another said: “R.I.P Teon such sad news man kmt my thoughts are with you and your family.”
One user, who went to primary school with the victim, and said her thoughts are with Mr Palmer’s family and friends, described him as “smiley” and “nice.”
Another tweet read: “Can't believe I will not see u again, Teon known u since I was 10yrs old, ur smile lives in my heart RIP Teo.”
Police are confident the victim is Mr Palmer, but a formal identification has not yet taken place.
Officers are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
No arrests have been made.
