Edmonton youths set to wow crowds in streets musical North Side Story

Young people are set to wow the crowds during a performance of North Side Story tonight.

The Edmonton youths have reworked musical West Side Story to create a story based on the streets of north London.

The play, which has been created as part of Black History Month, starts at the Millfield Theatre in Silver Street at 7pm.

Councillor Bambos Charalambous, cabinet member for leisure, culture and youth said: “This is an ambitious show which has captured the interest and imagination of many of our young people.

“This is their take on an eternal theme and it is one with a powerful message for all of us.”

The performers are from Craig Park Youth Centre in Craig Park Road and Croyland Youth Centre in Croyland Road. 

Tickets cost £5 for adults and £3 for children.
