More than a hundred Triumph cars to embark on two-day tour of Britain

More than 100 classic cars will set off from Enfield tomorrow on a 2,000 mile tour of Britain.

The Triumph cars, owned by members of car enthusiast group Club Triumph, will meet at The Plough pub in Cattlegate Lane, Crews Hill, at 6pm.

The 48-hour journey will see the cars travel through places including Nottingham, Edinburgh, John O’Groats, Ross and Cromarty, Stirling, Shropshire, Bristol, Devon and Wiltshire.

Drivers, who are expected to return to The Plough from 6pm on Sunday, are permitted 20 short breaks to fill up with fuel, but will travel through the night.

The charity event is run every two years – with donations from the last event reaching £56,000.
