Healthcare staff held a charity event in Southbury yesterday in the memory of a former colleague.

Area sales manager of Fortuna Healthcare, Brian Stoneage, 60, died in February this year after suffering a heart attack.

Thirty colleagues from Fortuna Healthcare in Crown Road held a coffee morning to mark the six-month anniversary of his death.

They raised £254 for the British Heart Foundation, which is the company’s charity of the year.

Rupal Gosai, commercial department administrator, said: “We are really pleased with the amount of money we raised, there are so few of us here, we did really well. It was a really good morning.”

Money was also raised through a cake sale and a curry sale and a mini hoopla competition.
