A man who died following a flat fire in Edmonton last week has been named.
Ramazan Avci, 48, of five Martin Close, died at 12.30am on Wednesday, August 29 after suffering severe burns and smoke inhalation from the fire.
Paramedics spent 40 minutes treating Mr Avci on the pavement outside his flat on Tuesday, August 29, before he was airlifted to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
A man in the next door block, who wished to remain anonymous, said Mr Avki kept “himself to himself.”
A crowd of people gathered outside the property while paramedics treated Mr Avci and firefighters worked to control the blaze just after 5pm.
