Paralympic torch coming to Winchmore Hill tomorrow

The Paralympic Torch is coming to Winchmore Hill tomorrow.

The torch will be displayed at Sainsbury’s in Green Lanes from 2pm to 6pm.

Customers will get the chance to have their photograph taken with the torch, which is one of 620 used in the 24-hour Paralympic torch relay from Stoke Mandeville in Aylesbury to the Olympic Park in Stratford.

Emma Young, manager at the store, said: “We’ve really enjoyed playing our part in raising awareness of the London 2012 Paralympic Games. For our customers, it’s a once in a lifetime chance for them to see the Torch and feel the buzz of the Paralympic Games.”

The Paralympic torch will travel to 40 Sainsbury’s stores across the country in a bid to give as many people as possible a chance to feel part of the Games.
