Sparks set to fly in Enfield Town Park during SHOWTIME
3:49pm Tuesday 21st August 2012 in News By Hermione Wright
Sparks will fly when four million volts of electricity are pumped through Enfield Town Park during a free arts show.
Performers The Lords of Lightning will use thrilling lightning-style displays as part of their act during the SHOWTIME festival on Friday, August 31.
The lightning masters are just one of 30 acts to perform at the event in Cecil Road, which is part of the London 2012 Festival to celebrate the Olympic and Paralympic games.
An international touring company led by deaf and disabled artists, Signdance, a brass-funk ensemble called Brassroots and a circus-themed travelling puppet show will join the line-up.
Councillor Bambos Charalambous, Enfield Council’s cabinet member for culture, leisure, youth and localism, said: “Showtime’s evening of world-class wizardry promises to produce even more unforgettable moments to what has been an unforgettable summer.”
The outdoor festival runs between 4pm and 9pm. All are welcome to attend.
