Ordnance Road Library consultation kicks off today

Plans for a library in Enfield Lock will be discussed in a public consultation starting today.

Drop-in sessions about the future of Ordnance Road Library in Hertford Road will be held at the library today from 3pm to 6pm and tomorrow from 10am to 1pm.

Enfield Council confirmed in May that the 40-year-old concrete library will be transformed into a centre comprising a library, GP surgery, dentist and community space.

The site plan, floor plans, elevations and 3D pictures will be on display and partners involved in the project will be available to discuss proposals.

The problem is that the consultation literature does not provide a cut-off date for comments and the scheme should be available on line, The discussions on Monday afternoon appeared to identify systematic misinformation about a LBE proposed building constructed using monies from the LBE capital budget in which both **1** an NHS GP will subsequently
transfer from 171 Ordnance Road; and **2** a dental practice will be tenants. Look out for the application for planning permission in early September and the Officer's report to the Planning Committee on 23rd October 2012
