Enfield’s very own gold post box will come to the borough today to celebrate a gold medal won yesterday by an Enfield athlete.

Charlotte Dujardin, who is one-third of Britain’s equestrian team, helped Team GB win its first ever gold medal in the sport after a sterling performance at Greenwich Park.

People will be able to spot the gold post box in Colman Parade, Southbury Road, in Enfield Town.

Royal Mail is painting a post box gold in the home town of every Olympic and Paralympic athlete who wins a gold medal for Team GB.

Staff from Royal Mail started painting the post box at 9am this morning, less than 24 hours after the 27-year-old won her gold medal.
