Police investigating the disappearance of Carole Waugh have released further details about the circumstances of a body found in south London.

Oil executive Ms Waugh, from Marylebone, was last seen alive on April 16 and £240,000 has vanished from her bank account.

According to detectives, a body was discovered at 7pm yesterday in a blue VW Golf in a lock up garage in Lime Court in New Malden.

Police would like to speak to anyone with information about the car, which has a registration number W466 NHL.

The body is yet to be formally identified but a post mortem was due to start at Kingston mortuary at 12pm.

A man caught on CCTV in Ponders End was arrested in connection with the millionaire’s disappearance on Friday, July 27, after a card believed to belong to Ms Waugh was used at an ATM.
