The body of a missing millionaire may have been found in a lock-up garage in south London.

Detectives investigating the disappearance of Carole Waugh, 50, from Marylebone, announced today that they may have discovered her body in New Malden.

The oil executive was last seen alive on April 16, and hundreds of thousands of pounds have been plundered from her bank account.

A man caught on CCTV in Ponders End was arrested in connection with the millionaire’s disappearance on Friday, July 27, after a card believed to belong to Ms Waugh was used at an ATM.

Formal identification of the oil executive, who may have also worked as an escort, is due to be carried out this afternoon at Kingston Mortuary.

On Wednesday, detectives confirmed the disappearance of Carole Waugh was being treated as a murder investigation.

To date, ten people have been arrested in connection with her disappearance.
