A personal trainer has been charged with threatening a paramedic as he treated a man who collapsed in the changing room of a Barnet gym.
Darren Marshalleck, of Montagu Gardens, Edmonton, was questioned by police on Wednesday following the incident at LA Fitness, in East Barnet Road.
The London Ambulance Service was called to the centre on July 17 to deal with a man, believed to be in his 20s, who was taken ill in the male changing rooms.
Following an alleged altercation with a bystander, the paramedic called the police.
Officers attended the incident and called 38-year-old Marshalleck in for questioning last week.
He was subsequently charged under the Public Order Act with using threatening words or behaviour and obstructing an emergency worker.
Marshalleck was granted unconditional bail to appear at Hendon Magistrates court on August 7.
