Olympic fun for young people with learning difficulties

Young people with learning difficulties got in the Olympic spirit in Edmonton on Friday.

The four-hour mini Olympic-style tournament at Lee Valley Leisure Complex in Meridian Way, which started at 11am, saw people compete in long jump, javelin, shot put, 100metre sprint and relay.

The winners were each handed a medal during a ceremony at the end of the event.

The tournament was organised by Craegmoor, a care provider for people with learning disabilities, autism, complex needs, mental health problems and older people.
