Abdifatah Gutale died after an accident in Montagu Road
An Edmonton man who passed away after he was hit by a van last week has been named.
Abdifatah Gutale, 30, from Leopold Road in Upper Edmonton died on Thursday, June 5, after an accident less than a mile from his house, in Montagu Road, on Tuesday.
It is believed Mr Gutale, who died of a head injury, was swapping insurance details with a bus driver when he was involved in an accident at approximately 6.30pm.
At this stage, it is thought Mr Gutale was a passenger in his friend’s beige Renault Megane when they had a near-miss with the bus. As he returned to the car, he was hit by a van.
The victim was taken to Royal London Hospital with life-threatening injuries, but was pronounced dead two days later. Next of kin have been informed.
The van driver, who stopped at the scene, has not been arrested and police investigations are continuing.
