An Enfield politician is “fed up” after burglars broke into his Freezywater office for the second time in a year.
The constituency office of Enfield North MP Nick de Bois in Hertford Road was targeted by the burglars over the weekend, who ripped off a protective metal gate from the back door and ransacked the building but stole nothing.
The break-in followed another last summer in which files and paperwork were left strewn over the floor.
Mr de Bois told the Enfield Independent: “To be honest I’m really fed up with it – it leaves a very unnerving and uncomfortable feeling as anyone who has been burgled will tell you.
“They just trashed the place and left it a complete mess, which is very frustrating because it disrupts the work of my staff.
“I think they were looking for valuable stuff, but the computers we use are quite bulky and they didn’t take those. Thankfully all the personal data is securely stored on those.”
He urged anyone who saw the burglary or has any information to contact Enfield Police.
