Multiple injuries are believed to have caused the death of the “popular” cyclist hit in Great Cambridge Road.

The post mortem to determine the cause of 41-year-old Frank Mugisha’s death took place at Haringey Mortuary on Tuesday but the results were announced today.

The inquest into Mr Mugisha’s death was opened at HM Coroners Court in Barnet this morning but has been adjourned to wait for police to complete their investigations.

The father-of-four, of Hoe Lane in Enfield, was struck on March 27 and died in Royal London Hospital on Monday, April 2.

One of his closest friends, Isaac Adams, 33, told the Haringey Independent last week that Mr Mugisha will be sorely missed.

He said: “He was the most popular African man in London.

“Frank was someone that got on with everyone. He was the best man. He was a lovely man - he was very friendly and popular in the community."

A 62-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and has been bailed until the end of April.

However, police continue to appeal for witnesses and would like to speak to anyone who can assist them in their investigations.
