A professional pickpocket who targeted elderly and vulnerable passengers on a bus route has been jailed.

Daniel Glowaki, 24, of Bulwer Road, Edmonton, was jailed for two years at West London Magistrates Court after being arrested for two pickpocket offences and breaching an antisocial behaviour order.

Glowaki, who was known to pickpocket around Edmonton and Tottenham, was arrested on January 7.

Undercover officers followed him and a companion on foot towards Camden and onto a Route 29 bus. Once on board, Glowaki separated from his companion so the pair of them could target their victims.

After their attempts failed, they both got off the bus in Camden and walked into an estate, followed by the officers who stopped and searched them.

The officers found them with an Oyster card and Freedom Pass, which they had stolen earlier in the day. They were both arrested for two pickpocket theft offences.

Glowaki, who already had a suspended sentence for other pickpocket offences, was charged with breaching an ASBO and admitted other recent offences, which were taken into consideration.

His companion admitted to stealing the travel cards while pickpocketing and was bailed for these offences pending further investigation.
