A 20-YEAR-OLD Harlow woman died last night when she was hit by a train just outside Brimsdown station.
The woman, who had been out with friends last night, was hit by the 10.33pm Stratford to Bishop's Stortford at the level crossing in Green Street.
The death is being treated as unexplained, British Transport Police said, and officers are talking to five of the woman's friends who were at the scene last night.
The incident happened just before 11pm, causing disruption to late night National express East Anglia service. The line was cleared by 3am and ready for this morning's use.
