I can't see how the proposed development of a Spurs training centre in Bulls Cross would benefit anyone in the community.
Admittedly the council stands to make a vast amount of money from the deal, which one would hope they would spend on something worthwhile such as Chase Farm Hospital.
The land to be used is not only Green Belt, but is in a conservation area and it would be very sad to see yet more green fields swallowed up by bricks and mortar.
I appreciate that some of the land will not actually be built on - only used as football pitches but the public would not have access to this land which makes up the bulk of the Forty Hall estate.
I feel the development is likely to go ahead as Spurs FC (or their agents) have already purchased Myddleton Farm for more than £1 million, with a view, so I understand of turning its four-acre "back garden" into a floodlit carpark.
Would Spurs have spent this money if the council was likely to turn down their planning application - I think not.
