A MUSICAL show celebrating the life of a St Clement Danes schoolgirl is be premiered at the Chorleywood school.

Livia Galli-Atkinson, 16, died in a road accident in January.

The musical, entitled For Livia With Love, has been written by Mr Adam James, her former ballet teacher at the Boden Studios in Enfield. Livia was on her way to the studios when the fatal accident happened.

Mr James said: "I used to write charity shows for cancer research, but had to stop when I did not have enough time.

"But when Livia died, it really affected people here and, a few weeks later, I offered to write a show for her.

"I asked her family and they were in favour. With their help, we started to work on the musical.

"It will be a celebration of her life through music, films and television programmes that she loved.

"The show will include music from people such as Michael Jackson and Robbie Williams and sketches from her favourite films such as Gone With The Wind and Breakfast at Tiffany's."

There are also plans to release a single in memory of Livia some time at Christmas.

All the proceeds from the show will go to the Livia Memorial Fund, which was set up with Livia's savings and policies her family had taken out at her birth.

The fund goes towards the schools she attended, including St Clement Danes.

Livia's mother, Mrs Giulietta Galli-Atkinson, said: "I think this is a wonderful gesture and they have all worked so hard on it.

"Adam just came to us after it had happened and said he wanted to do something for her.

"Livia was a very giving person and a very hard working person. Her friends have said she was someone who had time for everybody and had a way of expressing opinions which were healing rather than dividing. That is a great gift for somebody that age.

"She was a pupil of St Clement Danes School for five years and she loved it there.

"It was difficult to start with because we live a long way away and she had to get up early but, by the fifth form, she looked forward to going in."

The show will be performed for the public for the first time at St Clement Danes School on October 22. It will then move to the Millfield Theatre in Edmonton from October 28 until October 31.

Tickets for the premiere will be £6 and are available from the box office on 0181 3605761.
