A SECONDARY SCHOOL is celebrating its centenary this month by unveiling a new mural.

Enfield County School, which was set up as a girl’s grammar school in 1909, will be unveiling a centenary mural as part of an afternoon of celebrations at its Holly Walk site on Saturday November 28 between 1pm and 4pm. The mural, which was created by member of the school’s arts department, can be found in the Sharpe Building.

The school will hold an exhibition of old science equipment school’s science laboratories, refreshments will be served in the main hall by the Friends of Enfield County School and pupils will be providing music throughout the afternoon. Pam Rutherford, Headteacher, said: “I welcome anyone who is interested in the historical timeline of the school. We also hope that former students of Enfield County School will take the opportunity to come and celebrate with us.” If you require further information about his event please contact Gill Beale in the school office on 020 8363 3030 or contact: gillb@enfieldcs.enfield.sch.uk.
