A 17-YEAR-OLD female was placed on the sex offenders' register earlier this month after being found guilty of subjecting an underage girl to a series of horrific sexual acts and violence over five days.
Cherry Campbell, of Hertford Road, was placed on the sex offenders' register and sentenced to a two-year community order on September 7, after appearing at Wood Green Crown Court, where she pleaded guilty to assault and causing a child to engage in a sexual act.
The victim, who was 17 at the time and knew Campbell, was forced to perform degrading sexual acts on several males who visited the victim's home address, while the victim's mother was threatened with a knife to prevent her from leaving the house.
The presiding judge lifted reporting restrictions, allowing the defendant's identity to be revealed despite her age, as the crime committed was so disturbing it was felt the public had a right to know who Campbell was.
A police statement read: "This was a lengthy and disturbing case. The victim was subjected to five days of humiliating sexual acts.
"She was fully supported by the Sapphire unit from the beginning of the investigation."
