Police investigating a hit-and-run have made an arrest.
On August 4, a 38-year-old woman was seriously injured after she was struck by a vehicle in Westpole Avenue in Cockfosters at around 10.40pm.
The woman remains in hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Officers from the serious collision investigation unit at Chadwell Heath have arrested a 48-year-old woman yesterday (Friday) on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, failing to stop at the scene of a personal injury collision, and failing to report to police a personal injury collision.
She was taken to an east London police station and has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
Enquiries are ongoing.
