POLICE investigating the death of a 17-month-old baby boy who died at the North Middlesex Hospital have charged three people.
Tracey Connolly, 25, of Penshurst Road, Tottenham has been charged with the murder of the child and allowing or causing his death.
Stephen Barker, 31, of Armdale Close, Ferry Lane, Tottenham, has been hit with the same charge.
Jason Barker, 35, of no fixed abode, has been charged with allowing or causing the death of the child.
Police were alerted following concerns of staff at the Edmonton hospital when the youngster was admitted - believed to be on August 3.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: "The death is being treated as suspicious. Officers from the Abuse Investigation Command are investigating."
A post mortem was carried out on August 6 but proved inconclusive and officers await the result of further tests. A date for an inquest has not yet been set.
All three of the accused are due to appear at Highgate Magistrates Court today (Friday).
