One is from Italy, one from Spain, one from Iran - front man and Freddie Mercury lookalike Bruce Game – and only one from the UK.

What they have in common is that they all are massive Queen fans and together they bring Magic Queen, regarded as the most energetic and dynamic Queen tribute band in the country, to the Black Barn at Forty Hall this Saturday May 12.

Re-enacting the Queen glory days of the 1970s and 80s, the show will feature all the band’s greatest hits, inter-acting with the audience to make their live act an unforgettable experience.

Unlike any other Queen tribute band, Magic Queen perform all their songs in the original key, providing a unique and authentic sound that blends studio precision and vocal layering with the special excitement of a live act.

Explaining how the band got started, drummer Eugenio Bartolo said he and guitarist Rafa Diaz were looking to set up a Queen tribute act and went straight to Queen’s official Facebook.

The rest is history and for three years the group have been impressing audiences far bigger than the Black Barn’s 200-capacity venue across the country.

“We’ve all been lovers of Queen individually,” Eugenio says. “I’ve been listening to them since I was six. The best place to find other Queen fans and musicians was obviously the Queen page.”

“Playing all the songs in the original key is something not even the Queen Extravaganza, the officially recognised Queen tribute band, do. We really pay a lot of attention to the sound as well as the visuals. One of the guitars we use is a replica of the one Brian May created.”

Tickets for Saturday’s gig cost £12 and are available in advance from livestockuk.com or on the night.
