Plans to transform Wood Green are going to a third round of public consultation.

Haringey Council’s updated Wood Green Area Action Plan launches on Thursday February 1st and runs until March 16.

Updated plans include better cycling and walking choices, and two new open spaces.

Caxton, Mayes and Coburg Road homes have been removed from previous plans.

Haringey Council is encouraging people to step forward and have their say in how their community is reshaped for the better

Engagement sessions are planned for Wood Green Library and the former Wood Green Post Office, at Library Arcade.

The Council has been collecting people’s opinions since 2015 about its plans to create 4,000 new jobs, 6,400 new homes and build an environmentally friendly town centre.

The draft Area Action Plan includes Noel Park and Woodside wards and a smaller part of Harringay, West Green and Alexandra wards.

It shows which parts of Wood Green are included in the proposed improvements, making sure that they meet community ambitions.

Cllr Joe Goldberg, cabinet member for economic development, social inclusion and sustainability, said: “Residents have made it very clear they want to see big changes in Wood Green.

“Our plans will create 4,000 new jobs, 6,400 new homes and provide a vibrant town centre, bursting with life and opportunities.

“It is fantastic that the community has been so engaged so far and we encourage residents and businesses to have their say again as we launch our new consultation.”

Engagement sessions will be held on:

• Tuesday February 13, from 10:30 to 3:30pm at former Wood Green Post Office, Library Arcade

• Saturday February 17, from 12pm to 6:30pm, at former Wood Green Post Office, Library Arcade

• Wednesday February 21, from 4pm to 8pm, at former Wood Green Post Office, Library Arcade

• Tuesday February 27, from 3:30pm to 7pm at Wood Green Library
