A primary school and leading fast food chain joined forces to run a recycling and anti-littering campaign.

Seven people from McDonalds came to Oaktree School, in Cheapside, Southgate, to lead 34 pupils in a litter clean up.

Health and safety was covered in a speech given before the activity started.

The pupils were asked to design a poster for a competition in which the winner will have their design displayed in a Southgate branch.

Tony Fragg, a McDonald’s franchisee, awarded pupils in first, second and third place with WHSmith vouchers.
