A shooting left one man with a gun shot in the leg and police are appealing for information.

Police were called to Station Road, Wood Green, just before midnight on August 14 after reports of a shooting.

A 25-year-old man with a gun shot wound to his leg was found at the scene, and the London Ambulance Service took him to a north London hospital where his condition was decided not to be life threatening.

No arrests have been made.

Road closures are currently in place as police attempt to establish what happened at the scene and the potential motive behind the shooting.

While access to Wood Green tube station is unaffected for pedestrians, drivers are asked to avoid the area on Station Road by the junction with Lordship Lane and Wood Green High Road.
