ENFIELD resident Christine Muskett will be cycling 250 miles across Wales to raise money for Charity later this month.

Christine Muskett, who lives in Gordon Hill, will be biking from Swansea to Aberystwyth along the National Cycle Network, raising money for Changing Faces, a charity which tries to support more than 400,000 people with disfigurements in the UK, and for which Christine has been working for over a year.

The ride itself will take a gruelling four days - from July 23 to 26 - and Christine will need to cycle just over 60 miles a day to reach her goal.

Miss Muskett, 41, has been interested in doing sponsored bike rides for 10 years, ever since she got her first bike.

In 1999 she went on a bike ride from Enfield to Hunstanton, in Norfolk, and in 2005 Miss Muskett travelled 300 miles from Truro to Bath, to raise money for the Albanian Musicians' Trust.

Miss Muskettt is looking forward to the challenge ahead and just hopes the weather keeps on her side.

And she said: "I'm doing the bike ride for the physical and mental challenge as well as to raise money for Changing Faces.

"Changing Faces receives over 100 calls per month from people with a visible difference who experience staring, teasing and bullying.

"We provide specialist psychological support and social skills training to develop the self-confidence and self-esteem of adults and children who have disfigurements so that they can manage the reactions they encounter."

Miss Muskett's target is to raise £1,500 for Changing Faces, and she is asking readers to sponsor her.
