A Golders Green student has been crowned prom queen at a summer ball.
BTEC creative media student Yasmine Adams, 18, of Gainsborough Gardens, was chosen by her fellow classmates to wear the crown with prom king Zane Thadani, 18, at the sixth annual DLD College London Summer Ball.
Ms Adams said: "Being nominated and selected as prom queen felt amazing.
"It was such an honour, and I felt so pleased to find out how many people enjoy my company, not only as their fellow student, but as their friend."
Principal at the Westminster Bridge-based college, Rachel Borland, was full of praise for the pupil.
She said: “Yasmine is a great prom queen - she is well liked by her classmates and is an active and involved member of the college.
Ms Adams added: “I really enjoyed the Summer Ball - it was well put together and it was very clear that everyone including teachers had a fantastic time."
The black tie themed event was held at Gibson Hall, a Grade I listed building in London.
