Crews tackled the blaze for three hours
MORE than ten fire engines and 100 firefighters were called out to tackle a warehouse fire.
Crews from Barking, Dagenham, East Ham, Ilford, Hornchurch, Romford, Stratford and Poplar were all at the scene after 100 tonnes of waste were alight at a warehouse in Chequers Lane, Dagenham.
Fire crews arrived at the scene at around 6pm last night (April 22) to fight the blaze, and got it under control just after 9pm.
Firefighters are still at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
