Vulnerable adults will be the focus of an upcoming scheme run by local authorities.
Enfield Council will be running their annual ‘Keep Safe’ between 20-24 February to raise awareness of the threat of exploitation as well as providing support for carers.
Events have been organised throughout the week to tackle issues including financial abuse, fraud against the over 50s and modern slavery.
Carers will be encouraged to attend sessions on how to help them deal with the challenges they face and how they can improve their safeguarding process.
North Middlesex University Trust, Sterling Way will be welcoming walk-ins throughout the week to discuss a variety of topics between 10-2pm each day, and the Bountagu Centre, Bounces Road will be open from 9.30am.
