A FLYTIPPER caught ditching a mattress has been caught on camera.
The brazen man was spotted dumping the bed near residents' bins at the Bowes Road junction, by Palmers Green Road, New Southgate, at 12.30pm on February 2.
Councillor Dan Anderson for the environment said: “There really is no excuse to dump junk in this way and I look forward to this man being caught and handed a fixed penalty notice.
"Enfield Council spends £4.5m each year cleansing our streets and there are plenty of ways of disposing of waste legally and responsibly in the Borough.
“I would therefore appeal to anyone who has any information on the culprit to report him as soon as possible through our website www.enfield.gov.uk."
People could also receive a fine if they use businesses without the relevant Waste Carrier’s Licence as fly-tipping is against the law.
