A FAMILY managed to escape a house fire uninjured after a passer-by noticed smoke billowing out from the roof.
The passer-by alerted the people, including two children, inside the house, in Roedean Avenue, in Enfield, as a fire threatened to engulf house’s loft on Saturday (January 7).
Fire crews were called just after 3.30pm and the fire was under control within 45 minutes.
Part of the loft space was damaged by the blaze.
Four fire engines and 21 firefighters from Enfield and Tottenham stations were at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
